Evia, Attiki and Viotia play a leading part in Central Greece’s wine production, making the region an extremely active place in terms of wine making. Roditis and Savatiano are the principal varieties that are cultivated there, with the latter representing the 90% of the production of the vineyards of Attiki. Over the last few years, the dry white wine from Savatiano, the Vradiano wine and also the famous Malagousia are prevailing, “taking the torch” from the widely known Retsina.

In Viotia, one can find many varieties of white and red wines, such as Assyrtiko, Agiorgitiko, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Carignan, Grenache Rouge, Savatiano and Roditis. The last two are cultivated in almost all the vineyards of Evia. The particular climate of this island offers full-body wines.
