Being protected thanks to Ymittos, Penteli, Parnitha, Mountain Pateras, Geraneia Mountains and Kytheronas, the vineyard of Attiki produces for centuries some of the finest wines of Greece.

Τhe sea breezes, the winds, the sunshine and the almost complete absence of frost, along with the richness and the particularity of the soil of Attiki, create the ideal conditions for the development of viniculture.

As in central Greece, in Attiki are cultivated the varieties Savatiano and Roditis, which are also utilized in the production of different types of retsina, most famous of which is the one produced in Mesogia. Over the past 20 years, the vine growers have escaped the traditional paths and have chosen to cultivate also other varieties, presenting, thus, very interesting results. So, in Attiki we can now see the cultivation of the Greek varieties Assyrtiko, Athiri, Malagousia and Mandilaria, and also the international varieties Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Merlot and Syrah. The new varieties have given, thus, to Attiki local wines such the ones of Pikermi, Spata, Paiania, Koropi, Markopoulo, Anabyssos and Megara.
